Special Snapshot from our Chronic Pain Balancing and Corrective Care Program
Discussion with Dr. Bill Berkowitz of Life Chiropractic, Grass Valley.
Convener: I would like your input on the concerns of those who worry about becoming dependent on medications or surgeries for their chronic pain management. This is a strong sentiment among our clients and a key hurdle in our program. Can you share your approach on this?
Dr. Bill: Absolutely, but I would like to preface it by discussing the overall mindset.
Convener: Of course, please proceed.
Dr. Bill: When I tailor a chronic pain management program for someone dealing with ongoing pain, stress or fatigue, I acknowledge their fears about resorting to medication or surgical intervention. They seek a long-term solution that addresses the root cause of their issue and not just alleviating the symptoms.
The fear of suffering from chronic pain, stress, and ill-health for the rest of their lives is genuine and understandable. I coordinate a program that enables them to find lasting relief and regain control over their lives. I appreciate the challenges they confront and navigate through these to offer an effective, holistic approach.
Often, their additional complaints involve ineffective treatments and struggle to find sustainable relief. I aim to offer them a system that addresses these issues and minimizes their reliance on mediations and surgeries.
They also fear the side effects of medications that can exacerbate their initial problems.
Central to my system is the aspiration to bring about a significant change in the lives of my clients. I believe in their potential to combat their pain, stress, and fatigue.
My method not only targets the symptoms management but also rectifies the structural and neurological imbalances causing their pain.
Most vitally, I seek their commitment – to stay with the program, to make necessary lifestyle adjustments, and to actively get involved in their healing process. This is not a one-sided effort; it’s a collaborative endeavor.
Convener: That appears very inclusive.
Dr. Bill: I strive to provide a program that is not merely about achieving results, but also about preserving them. The bottom line is not just to liberate the individual from their pain, but to also equip them with the knowledge and tools to stay pain-free.
Though this process isn’t easy, it is rewarding and transformational, and in the end, it invariably proves its worth.
To be continued tomorrow…
We trust you found this discussion useful, and we look forward to extending this conversation in the coming days.
Tomorrow, we’ll delve deeper into the program and how it can be customized to cater to your unique needs and challenges.
So, stay tuned!
