MANAGING AND REDUCING STRESS IS A LOST CAUSE!  THE CORRECTIVE REBALANCING PROGRAM TRANSFORMS  YOUR EXPERIENCE OF STRESS AND ELIMINATES PAIN AND OTHER SYMPTOMS

We live in a world in which stress is a never ending onslaught on our nervous systems. One of the challenges is that the world has changed drastically in the last 200 years. So much so that someone from the early 1800’s would not recognize the life we currently lead.

All that seems like progress. In many ways life is much easier for us than for our ancestors. The problem is that our nervous systems evolved during much simpler times when there was much less stimulation.

The human nervous system is programmed for survival. Any time the nervous system encounters what it perceives as a threat it directs all the resources of the body to getting ready to defend against that threat. In simpler times the threats were real and not that frequent. The occasional predator or another human being.

This part of the nervous system tasked with survival is often referred to as the “Fight, Flight, or Freeze” portion of the autonomic nervous system. It redirects all energy and resources to getting prepared to fight or flee.

So, what is the problem?

The problem is that our current world is filled with frequent stimuli that are not real threats but are perceived as threats to our nervous system. The result on our body, on our physiology, on our emotional state is no different than had the threat been real.

The Consequences of Repeated Stress

Medical Research has determined that as much as 90% of illness and disease is stress related. How does this show up in our bodies and our health?

  • Increased muscle tension and pain
  • Impaired sleep
  • Impaired digestion
  • Less robust immune response
  • Systemic inflammation
  • Increased frequency of illness
  • Chronic pain
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Chronic Fatigue

Why Managing Stress Doesn’t Work

The very nature of our modern world is that it is changing at an ever accelerating pace and many of these changes are interpreted by the human nervous system as a threat. This is not only not changing, it is getting worse.

It is impossible to manage a never-ending list of environment and social stimuli that are constantly triggering the stress response in the nervous system. To try and manage stress is more likely to actually increase your stress load.

That’s not to say you shouldn’t reduce or eliminate those situations, conditions, and people that are stressful to you. But, that is not the answer.

What is the answer?

Changing your experience of Stress!

In my experience working with over-stressed people every day, the solution is to help the nervous system change its response to stress. Stress is experienced in the nervous system. By rewiring how the nervous system responds to stress we can change your experience of stress.

THE CORRECTIVE REBALANCING PROGRAM

Most people understandably associate chiropractic with the back. But, the real reason chiropractors work with the spine is the nervous system. If you want to change the impact of stress on your body and your life you will need to focus on the nervous system.

This has led me to develop a 4-part program to change your experience of stress and in the process improve many chronic conditions ranging from headaches to neck and back pain to anxiety and fatigue. Here is the basic program.

Corrective Chiropractic Care

Corrective chiropractic is focused on restoring alignment, balance and motion to the spine with the sole objective of reducing and eliminating nervous system irritation. This helps slow down or prevent devastating spinal arthritis along with many health challenges.

Benefits:

  • Restores spinal alignment and prevents or slows the development of devastating spinal arthritis.
  • Provides headache, migraine, and neck pain relief through relieving spinal nerve pressure.
  • Provides muscle-melting, spine aligning, top-to-bottom back pain relief.
  • Improves mood and releases stored tension by balancing the autonomic nervous system and increasing blood flow throughout your body.

Posterior Chain Activation

Gravity is a constant stress to our physical body. Modern life with inactivity, repetitive movements, and sitting results in an inhibition and weakening of the muscles responsible for holding us up against gravity.

Benefits:

  • Relieves back pain and improves posture by decompressing the spine
  • Move more easily and gracefully by taking pressure off your joints and activating key muscles
  • Provides back pain relief by correcting the imbalances that come from sitting, hunching over screens, and other habits of modern life
  • Reverse the damage done from poor posture by activating the key muscles of posture, the posterior chain.

Spinal Joint Flossing

Once chiropractic has restored alignment and motion we need to reinforce proper motion of the small joints of the spine and maintain that balance. This is what spinal joint flossing does.

Benefits:

  • Improves spinal joint movement and lubrication
  • Reverse damage from dysfunctional spinal movement patterns
  • Provides neck and back pain relief by reteaching your body proper spinal motion
  • Provides long term pain relief by rewiring proper coupled joint movements

Stress Resilience Code

With the constant onslaught of stress it is not enough to correct the impact of stress on our body. In order to ensure lasting change we need to rewire how the nervous system responds to stress. This is where the Stress Resilience Code comes in.

Benefits:

  • Effortlessly release stored tension and experience deep relaxation
  • Sleep better by down-regulating your Nervous System
  • Provides immunity from stress by rewiring your stress response
  • Improves your mood by increasing your Vagus Nerve function
  • Helps you take control of stress by learning to self-regulate
