Your First Visit
When you arrive for your appointment, your doctor will take time to connect with you and learn more about your immediate health concerns or challenges. We’ll ask about your health history and any history of trauma. This visit is all about getting to know you. Please bring a list of any current prescriptions and supplements.
From this consultation, we’ll determine which examinations are necessary to help us gain the information we need to address your health concerns. Your doctor will perform specific and unique exams to check the health of your spine and nervous system – specifically measuring how your body is responding to stress. Your measure of health is simply how responsive your body is to stress that originates from both inside and outside your body.
You can expect this first visit to last approximately 45 minutes. If X-rays are necessary we will refer you to a local facility to take those films and go over them with you.
During your first visit, your doctor will take some time to review the results of your consultation and examination. You’ll be presented with a report of findings that will help you understand what was found and what we believe we can do to help. Together, we’ll discuss your health challenges and goals, which will help shape our recommendations for care.
If the doctor confirms that we can help you; you will receive your recommendations for care. If you decide to move forward, you’ll be ready for your first adjustment and you’ll want to allow an additional 15 minutes for this first visit.
